Thoughtfully designed spaces, inclusive play, and site furnishings that bring people together.
Yorkville Central Park in Calgary, Alberta, is a vibrant public space that fosters community connection through thoughtful design and year-round amenities. Located in southwest Calgary’s growing Yorkville community, this four-acre urban park offers a mix of active and passive recreation, creating an inviting space for residents and visitors alike.
To complement the park’s vision and enhance the visitor experience, Maglin supplied durable, design-forward outdoor site furnishings. 720 Tables and Benches create welcoming picnic spots near the playground where families and friends can gather. Curved Ogden Collection wall-mount bench seating provides comfortable, space-saving seating throughout the park.
A defining element of the park’s design are the 970 Benches, customized in collaboration with NAK Design Strategies. Each bench features a distinctive lasercut brick pattern, adding visual interest and a comfortable place to rest. These custom benches extend beyond the park and are featured throughout the surrounding multi-residential development, reinforcing a cohesive design language within the new community.
With its engaging design, inclusive features, and inviting public amenities, Yorkville Central Park has quickly become a beloved destination in southwest Calgary that encourages year-round play and relaxation.
