Hotel X Toronto: Redefining Sustainable Luxury
Set on 192 acres of parkland along Lake Ontario, Hotel X Toronto blends eco-conscious design with luxurious hospitality. Built on the historic grounds of Exhibition Place and the Stanley Barracks, the hotel reimagines its surroundings with a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. A stunning six acres of parks and gardens replace former asphalt parking lots, integrating over 200 trees, grass lawns, and perennial plants to recreate the site’s original natural beauty. The outdoor grounds, dotted with seating areas and gathering spots, serve as tranquil extensions of the hotel’s sustainable ethos.
Key to the outdoor spaces are the site furnishings, crafted by Maglin Site Furniture with sustainability at their core. Benches and waste containers were made from High Density Paper Composite (HDPC) and complement the hotel’s design while contributing to its LEED Silver performance target. HDPC, composed of FSC-certified recycled paper and EcoBind™ resin, offers low VOC emissions and a closed-loop manufacturing process. These durable, eco-friendly furnishings harmonize with the natural elements of the property while offering functional, inviting spaces for guests to gather and relax.
Hotel X Toronto’s outdoor grounds are more than just an aesthetic enhancement—they embody the hotel’s commitment to sustainable luxury. Whether strolling through tree-lined gardens, relaxing on eco-friendly benches, or gathering near the restored Stanley Barracks, guests experience the seamless integration of nature and thoughtful design. By prioritizing both environmental responsibility and guest comfort, Hotel X Toronto offers an unparalleled stay that’s as good for the planet as it is for its visitors.
